Year 10 and year 11 Spanish students went on a trip to Watershed in Bristol city centre. They watched a screening of Campeones. They did us proud, they were a brilliant group to go to the cinema with!

Ex student now artist worked on Red Nose Day
One of our fabulous ex-students, Parys Gardener, is now an artist and doing some amazing things including her work for Red Nose Day. Her design was selected for one of the images this year, and can be found in TKMaxx. Well done Parys.
Students enter National Maths Challenge
64 students in Y10 and Y11 recently sat the nationally run Maths Challenge, 37 of whom scored highly enough to receive a prize certificate (Bronze, Silver or Gold). 6 students’ scores were high enough for them to move through to a new competition. Students from John Cabot Academy had a once in a lifetime opportunity to play at the formidable home of England rugby, Twickenham. One year 10 young leader and twelve Year 7 students took part in six tag rugby matches before the England V Wales game, part of the Six Nations

Children’s Mental Health Week
To kick off Children’s Mental Health Week, John Cabot Academy students were lucky enough to have Zoltan from Off The Record in the school. Zoltan told our students about all the fantastic free services they offer for mental health and wellness support in Bristol.
Harry Potter Event
John Cabot Academy’s library was transformed into a mini-hogwarts and hosted an amazing Harry Potter event which was full of wizardry and wonder. Such a fabulous time was had by all!
