Integrate Annual Youth Conference
On Friday 4th November we took several students from last year’s cohort of Integrate Project Fearless group, equalities council and Integrate ambassadors to the Integrate Youth conference, held at the Tobacco Factory in Bedminster, Bristol. The day was hugely celebratory of the young activists across Bristol, highlighting the amazing work they have been doing in their schools and changing the narrative about key issues such as FGM, racism and toxic relationships. The charity itself celebrated its 13th year on Friday and as part of this some out current and former JCA students delivered outstanding speeches to the audience of over 200 people. We were delighted to watch the premiere of two new film resources featuring JCA students past and present. ‘Love Bomb’ covers the topic of toxic relationships and what this may look like and ‘Smile More’ showcases the brilliant acting skills of so many JCA students, whilst tackling the theme of racism in schools.
