Year 9 Residential Kit List 2024
Please note: Students will require a packed lunch on the first day. We will eat this upon arrival. Food will be provided for students who are in receipt of free school meals.
General items
- Sleeping bag & pillow
- Blanket for additional warmth at night (optional)
- Wash kit & towel
- Nightwear
- Underwear & socks
Suggested clothing
- Two or three sets of activity clothes (activewear suitable for outdoor use)
- Sweatshirt (or similar)
- Warm jumpers
- Trainers x 2 (in case of rain)
- Warm coat
- Waterproofs
- Woolly hat & gloves (it will become cold on an evening)
- Wellies (if heavy rain is forecast)
Other items
- Water bottle
- Cup for hot drinks (facilities available in marquee)
- Torch
- Plastic bags (for wet and dirty clothes)
- Sun cream / sun hat / sunglasses (if weather sunny)
- Rucksack to carry waterproofs & drink between activity sites
- Power bank / portable phone charger
- Cake (either homemade or shop bought to share at snack times and in the evening)
- Marshmallows (optional) for the campfire
- Snacks (optional) that will not melt in a hot tent
- Any relevant medication (to be handed in on arrival and stored by staff)
Note: A small amount of money can be brought as they may get to the shop on the second day and could purchase a drink / ice cream / snack. One backpack and one other luggage item per student please. Cakes will be handed in on the morning of their trip for storage. Directions of where to bring luggage to on the morning of departure will be given nearer the time. Thank you.
