The Academy’s Hours of Operation are 32.5 hours.
Students are expected to be at JCA by 8:30. They will be welcomed by staff, can borrow any uniform required, speak to teachers or pastoral staff and make it to their lessons on time. This is an important part of making students’ days start well with a sense of belonging. A bell will ring at 8:35 to remind students to head to their lessons for a prompt 8:40 start. Our usual 5 minute rule applies, any student who arrives after 8:40 will attend the SLR for one period, allowing lessons to start without disruption.
